i know all of this to be true but how do i go about controlling my negative thoughts?
It is impossible to stop all negative thoughts. What you can do, is recognize that you are thinking negatively. You can then say " I do not accept these negative thoughts because they are a lie." Then deliberately think of happy things. When you do this consistently, it will become more easy and natural... God Bless.
